Department of Conservation — Walking & Biking Tracks
Albert Town has many walking and biking tracks suitable for beginners and more advanced trails. Check out the DOC website or Bike Wānaka website for more information. Remember that bikers give way to walkers on all tracks.
Queenstown Lakes District Council — Report a problem
Go to the Queenstown Lakes District Council website for all things relating to Council matters. Rubbish and recycling collection, requests for services, rates payment dates.
You can also let Council know about any infrastructure or repair works needed through an app. The app is Snap, Send & Solve and allows you to take a picture of an issue and send it directly to QLDC. If you see anything requiring attention around the community, e.g., a leaking pipe, potholes, or street lights with blown bulbs, you can let QLDC know via the app.
Bike Wānaka
Bike Wānaka builds and maintains many of the incredible local bike tracks around Wānaka, including the Gunn Road bike park. Find out more on the Bike Wānaka website.
Medical Emergencies — 111
Ring 111 for medical, fire and police emergencies.
Civil Defence and Emergency Response Groups
Albert Town is part of Emergency Management Otago — known as Otago Civil Defence Emergency Management Group—which is responsible for the development and delivery of emergency management activities to communities within the Otago region.
