ALBERT TOWN COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION

What do the kids have to say?

We are very keen to hear from younger Albert Town residents aged 10 – 18 to find out what they like about Albert Town and what they think would make life better. We have had some very good ideas come through on our recent survey. These have included a skate park (everyone wants that), a big slide at McMurdo Park, exercise stations (we have looked at this, but they are beyond our budget), a life-size chess game, sports equipment available at McMurdo Park, concrete roller skate park and better footpaths. One idea we’re following up on is a bus shelter for the MAC students outside the commercial hub on Allison Avenue.

What do you think?

Kids, we really want to hear from you!

One common point almost all the kids in Albert Town raised is the anti-social behaviour at McMurdo Park, particularly drug dealing. The local police are very keen to be informed of residents’ concerns, and they can only act if given the appropriate information. You can provide information confidentially so don’t hesitate to call them.
